What Every Student Should Know About ProcrastinationDo you always wait until the last minute to do your assignments? If so then you have repeatedly experienced the consequences which include an enormous amount of stress and work beyond our abilities. You need to stop procrastinating! The first thing you need to do is get yourself a planner. It doesn't have to be an expensive one, just a simple book with dates in it :). Make sure there is enough space on each date so that you can write as much as you want. You can get a planner for as little as $5. Next, you need to write everything that is due in your planner. Make sure you write down all homework, reading, and writing assignments. Also, don't forget to include all exams and major papers. Once you have this all written down, sit down with your planner in hand. Look at what is due when. Then determine what you will do first and go for it. Do not wait until the next day to complete a task that you can do today. Get right on it! Sit down on your computer or with your notebook until you are finished. That's one way to stop procrastinating, here is another:

To Beat Procrastination You Need Determination
The main trick of beating procrastination is determination. You have to sit down and intend that you will complete whatever is in front of you. For instance, put your mind on starting an English paper and complete it within say one to two hours. If you set this kind of determination on your mind beforehand, you will have a good start. The faster you are able to finish an assignment, the more time you will have to edit and review it. You will also have more time on your hands to begin other assignments.

Let us take a scenario here: assume today is Monday and you have two papers, an exam and a quiz due next Monday. If you get to work right now and do those papers, you will have all week to edit them and perfect them. You will also have enough time to study for your quiz and exam. Now, if you wait until Sunday to do everything, you're setting yourself for failure. You will be under a great deal of stress and you will not be able to concentrate during your exam the next day. Thus to stop procrastinating, you need to develop a lot of self-discipline!

Positive Thinking
You can stop procrastinating by using positive thinking. For instance, think about all the free time you will have when you start your assignments as soon as they are given. Also don't look at an assignment as overwhelming, look it as being something you can handle without a problem. This will make it easier to actually start the assignment.
